I think this is my 12th season coaching Girls on the Run and it’s just as enlightening and fun and wonderful as ever.

There is still a considerable amount of snow on our playground so we’ve been running upstairs in the middle school hallway. It’s a fun treat and the middle school faculty are so sweet to let us be noisy and joyful!

We do most of the getting on board and warm up games in the lunch room. We’re lucky to have spaces to use while spring slowly (sort of not at all) arrives to Tahoe.

 

Last week we did the really meaningful lesson on negative self talk and the messages that these 3rd and 4th grade girls tell themselves (written on labels then onto balloons as lap counters) are heartbreaking.

 

 

I’m so glad that Girls on the Run serves girls in the Reno Tahoe area and that I get to be a part of such an amazing organization!
